Little Victories

The song. Nothing else matters. On his new CD, Little Victories, electric guitarist and composer, Roland Nipp, returns songwriting to its rightful place within electric rock guitar music. Memorable lines, sweeping choruses, cool guitar sounds, and hooks a shark would fear. This is electric guitar music for song lovers. Lyrics? Not required. 20th Century Guitar magazine describes Nipp's instrumental music as "high musical drama... echoing the tactical studio precision of fretboard masters... an audio pleasure worth repeating." Guitar Nine Records lauds Nipp's music as "haunting, timeless melodies... musical drama soaked in moody magic... a memorable work that will stand the test of time." Is this just another guitar album? No. Canadian Musician praises Nipp's music as "instrumentals from the wank-free zone... unadorned purity... plays with clarity and economy, giving the notes and melodies space to breathe. Nipp puts the song first, never letting technique supersede taste." You won't hear songs that are simply excuses for the guitarist to zip up and down the diminished-harmonic-minors-not-allowed scale. Nipp has been featured by Guitar Player magazine, calling his music "reminiscent of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and the Beatles." Little Victories by Roland Nipp. More hooks than a butcher's freezer. This is electric guitar music for song lovers.
