Back When I Was Sane, featuring California guitarist Randy Pevler, contains nine songs of awesome hard rock instrumental and haunting acoustic ballads. Each track is structured around a strong melodic theme which is developed and embellished to enhance the entire composition. Highlights include the uptempo "N.F.L.", the riveting acoustic arrangement, "Daze Gone Bye" and the hyper-boogie "Thump", with its extended solo section displaying Pevler's potent guitar playing.
