Paul Gilbert (guitar), Bruce Bouillet (guitar), John Alderete (bass) and Scott Travis (drums) each cut loose with their own instrumental, shredding solo pieces which make this a must-have for fans of musician-oriented rock. Also, a featured instrumental track on Live Extreme Volume is "Scit Scat Wah", a blistering piece with the trademark harmony soloing.
