Guitar Band Classics!

Guitar Band Classics! is the fourth in a series of acclaimed collaborations between the king of instro combo guitar, Nokie Edwards, and members of the kings of western swing, The Light Crust Doughboys. Guitar Band Classics! especially celebrates the greatest instrumental guitar combo songs of all time, songs forever associated with Nokie's style, tone and repertoire as former lead guitarist of the best-selling instrumental combo of all-time, The Ventures. Fans and students of pop and rock guitar will harken back to the years immediately prior to The Beatles when The Ventures were the most influential guitar group in the world and when the sound of Fender guitars, Burns guitars and Mosrite Ventures' Model guitars were first heard around the world. Guitar Band Classics! also features a sprinkling of patriotic gems performed combo-style. The album is produced by Grammy Award-winner and multiple Grammy Award-nominee Art Greenhaw. Recent Texas live, on stage performances by Nokie, The Light Crust Doughboys and Art Greenhaw have received critical acclaim in newspaper and magazine reviews, in addition to college campuses and university guitar programs.
