Music From The Univearth

Music From The Univearth features very powerful, raw and intense rock from Nicky Cats that has acoustic guitar writing influences and avoids relying on 'power chords' heard in most alternative, grunge and rock music today. Most of the songs have evolved over years of working on them, not the 'lets put a band together and write some songs' approach. The result is a rich tapestry of intriguing introductions, arrangements and epic endings. Songs are played with intense feeling, sweat, stage movement and a sort of musical 'possession' that overcomes him, and takes the listener across vast sonic soundscapes filled with unexpected rides. The ability to improvise or create something new on the spot keeps the music on edge, as well as the total artistic freedom that comes with having no band.
