Melodic Meltdown features the heavy metal blast of Danish guitarist Michael Sobygge. The 12-track instrumental release is a unique blend of classical and electric guitars which are used to frame compositions ranging from baroque to raw power metal. Fans of Chris Poland's (ex-Megadeth) solo work will find a lot to like in this CD, especially on tracks such as "Madness" and "Stonehenge". Melodic Meltdown includes important contributions by bassist Lasse Winther Wehner and drummer Joe Clancy, who greatly compliment Sobygge's heavy melodic style. With his characteristic approach to the guitar and his unique technique, Sobygge has made Melodic Meltdown a piece of work for guitar enthusiasts to admire.
