Product, the new all-instrumental release from San Diego session guitarist/bassist Mark Huettman, is squarely aimed at fretboard fanatics with styles ranging from thunder and lightning (a la Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine and Al Di Meola) to more melodic and tasty, but still crunchy (Joe Satriani, Alex Lifeson, Michael Schenker). Product also features extensive contributions from drummer and keyboardist Scott Bishop, who also produced the CD. The moods and grooves change quickly (the twelve tracks average slightly over two-and-a-half minutes apiece), and Huettman keeps the sonic onslaught happening with his hottest guitar playing to date.
