Play! is a compilation of the best guitar tunes from veteran German guitarist Lothar Kosse, taken from his three instrumental albums, 1994's "One For All" (five tracks), 1989's "Rockland" (one track) and 1999's "Rainmaker" (seven tracks). Kosse is a master blender, combining ultra-bluesy rock and fusion to create an appealing mix. The roster of guest artists on the tracks is also impressive, with names such as Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Gary Lunn (bass), Matt Bissonette (bass), Gregg Bissonette (drums) and Abraham Laborial (bass solo on "Siani"). The legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy also contributes a guitar solo to "Walk On Water". Kosse's style is soulful and rich in dynamics, so enjoy Play! - the best of Kosse from 1989 to 1999.
