Fool's Gate, from guitarist Lenny Supera, features twelve instrumental rock tracks which offer guitar dominated riffs and rhythms with high-tech soloing. Supera is a crafty composer as well, injecting offbeat surprises and tempo/style changes into his songs at the drop of a hat. The song titles really mean something too--"Hallow's Eve" is the soundtrack to Frankenstein's nightmare, while "Surfin' Saucer" lets you jam a cosmic wave. "Grit" is the shredder's anthem, while the last track, "Gate Variations" is a cross between a hoedown, a spacewalk and a psuedo-neo-classical outtake! A sense of humor and killer technique--Supera has it all and Fool's Gate delivers it to you.
