Waiting

Laura Bachynski has an uplifting pop/folk/jazz/spiritual feel to many of her songs. She has been singing in church choirs and musical theatre since she was a child, and her voice can be heard on movie soundtracks and radio jingles. She has performed in concert, at open mics, as well as hospitals around Edmonton. She is part of Rob Heath's Songwriter's Circle. She writes, "The songs on Waiting were honed in Rob Heath's Songwriter's Circle here in town. Songwriters with all different styles of music gather once a month to play one song each and get critiqued in a positive way. The group has really improved my song-writing skills. Friends and family have asked me for years to compile a CD of my original tunes and I am proud to present my first full-length production in 2010. My whole family flew out from Windsor, Ontario to perform with me in the studio - including our mum and dad, Mary Anne and Dennis Drew. We had such a blast under Barry Allen's (of Homestead Recorders) direction."
