During the nineties, well-known Finnish guitarist Jukka Tolonen has been working in more of a rock format, with the Jukka Tolonen Trio releases "Last Mohican" in 1995 and Big Time in 1997. While musically these albums are a bit more conventional than his fusion/jazz/rock/funk work of the seventies and eighties (on albums such as "Hysterica", "A Passanger To Paramaribo" and "The Hook"), the music is skillfully executed and reaffirms the enduring fact that Jukka's "chops" are as well honed as ever. Tolonen is not only Finland's national guitar hero but also one of the world's most respected guitarists. For the past four decades, he has captivated audiences through Scandinavia and Europe with his powerful and passionate works.
