Guitarist John 5, known for his work with Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth and Rob Halford, delivers his first instrumental solo record, Vertigo. John 5 shows phenomenal diversity as a writer/guitarist and Vertigo further showcases him as one of the most technically advanced guitarists today. Fans of driving rhythms and ear-catching, over the top guitar work will keep this in their CD players for months on end. Wayne Klinger at Quintessence Metal Webzine adds, "I don't know where to begin since the lead work on this is exceptional and again, surprised the hell out of me. There's interesting effects on here and a 'post-modern' cyber influence. This guy must of been bottled-up for years because he just explodes on this debut. You get it all in vented-out glory, that's for sure! The boundaries are endless on this release with metal, jazz, country, sci-fi, industrial (Fear Factory, Rob Zombie, Korn), and John 5 just incorporates all that into his playing." Steve Vai states it plainly, "John 5 is an underrated guitar giant."
