Following in the footsteps of protegies Thomas McRocklin, Blues Saraceno and Jonny Lang is Mattias IA Ecklundh's recent discovery, a guitarist known simply as Johan with his debut Lead Guitar. In Echlundh's words, "I first met Johan in 1999; he was eleven then and came to me for lessons. When the young man picked up the guitar and began playing his brains out I truly questioned my sanity as I had a hard time believing what I saw and heard. I was completely floored. Johan does not only have an incredible technique, he has the phrasings, tone, attitude and soul of a seriously experienced musician. I believe that's what makes him so special. Hope you will enjoy being floored by Johan's unique playing on Lead Guitar as much as I have being floored recording it. Note: Johan was only twelve years old when these tracks were recorded.
