Sonic Divergence is Jimmy Williams' second solo guitar release. With a heavier sound, but still retaining a progressive edge, this CD explores many harmonic, melodic, rhythmic and acoustic realms not seen in his previous release "Guitar Concepts". Added to the mix are the impressive keyboard sounds and samples of Rob Rampley and the stellar drumming of Karl Rosqvist. Erik Norlander lends his producing and mixing skills to this CD with sounds ranging from heavy sythns, to punishing metal, to solo acoustic guitar. Sonic Divergence is a 10 song musical journey that contains something for all fans of progressive instrumental metal.
