Canada's Jim Marshall has released Lone Witness, an instrumental acoustic guitar EP/CD featuring eleven tunes that resonate with a timeless quality. Born in 1952, Marshall began taking guitar lessons at the age of 13. The compositions on Lone Witness were written over a period of decades -- from "Downstream" in the mid 1970s to the recently written "Meditation". Marshall conveys a sense of enjoyment through his recordings, treating listeners to the down-home blues of "Picket Line", the haunting, minor key fingerwork of "The Castle", the memorable simplicity of "Victory" and the wonderfully lyrical "Forever". Lone Witness is a perfect introduction to the acoustic stylings of Jim Marshall - sit next to the stage and stay a while.
