Grind Textural Abstraction

Isolation Chamber
Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

The dizzying meter changes and complex syncopations that mark guitarist Mike Chlasciak's insanely aggressive metal/industrial/prog release Grind Textural Abstraction require some serious chops, and he's got 'em. A Berklee grad with achievement awards, guitarist for Rob Halford, and plenty of legit cred to his name, Chlasciak steers clear of clich*s and pads his death tone with softer textures and trippy whammy pedal screeches on Isolation Chamber's debut CD. Grind Textural Abstraction does more than just square off Chlasciak against current guitar heavies; it sets a new standard in the category of groove/grindcore oriented music. Isolation's grinding, brutally heavy approach to writing also annihilates any and all boundaries previously associated with intense guitar playing. Chlasciak says of the release, "As far as the guitar playing goes, I guess it will be for others to judge, but I believe it's no doubt my best and most insane work to date."
