Reviewer Dave Latchow writes, "Insout is a wonderful creative trio (featuring guitarist Riccardo Samperi and sax man Claudio Allia) exploring many sonic directions and moods with their release, Trikke & Trakke. The ability to create such a wide colorful palette of sound says a lot about the great quality of these musicians. Every track is strong and musically appealing. "Ka-Hora" has a great quirky sax and guitar melody and breaks in and out of different sections for sonic adventures. "Toys Room" is simply a beautiful work of music that is performed with passion, reminiscent of some of great Pat Metheny compositions. Trikke & Trakke has a wonderful folk vibe that makes you feel like you are in The Old Country. It doesn't get much cooler than that. "Coffeebreak" has a groovy "jam band" vibe, sure to make you feel like a Groovy Daddio. "Blue Tomato" rules with the Latin vibe, I'm sure Santana would dig this tune. "Systya" has a very cool sax and guitar opening plus great grooves, sounds and playing. "Retrophone" is a wild adventure with grooves and sounds that makes your feet move."
