Equilibrium, one of two 2004 releases by Siberia-born guitarist Igor Belsky is a dynamite blend of the hard rock edge found on Belsky's two other CDs ("Road Tested", "Time Sensitive") and a country-fried blaze that must be experienced. Perhaps the best introduction to this melding of genre's can be found on the CD's closing track, "Smuggler's Boogie", a high-energy rock/country hybrid which features trade-off solos between Belsky and two guest pickers, Mati Kivistik and Alexandr Vasilenko. Equilibrium may refer here to the balance between two disparate musical worlds, whose styles are skillfully blended, pureed, mixed and artfully prepared for your instrumental guitar enjoyment.
