Rocketing in from distant galaxies (and from Portugal) is Goncalo Pereira's latest CD, Goncalopereira@G_Spot, named for the studio where it was recorded - the G Spot Studios. Featuring nine instrumental hard rock and shred tracks and five vocal numbers, the music is a showcase for Pereira's amazing technical ability, creative songcraft, multi-layered production and fluency in a number of musical idioms. Bassist Dikk is back, adding a great variety of modern sounds and layers to the music, but the guitar playing is the main focus here. Pereira was voted "Best Portuguese Guitar Player of 1998" by a prominent Portuguese music newspaper.
