Acoustic guitarist Glenn Zervas' original CD Grace Notes contains 14 instrumental compositions played on acoustic guitar, with splashes of guitar synth and electric guitar. The music is focused strongly on melody with adventuresome picking patters and chord voicings. In the words of independent record producer Lance Bendiksen, "Glenn's songs and guitar style offer a sense of art and melody that are missing in most instrumental albums. Glenn's music moves me, I like that. He writes and records with a purpose without becoming cliche. His music is simple yet eloquent and this musicality is constant throughout his records." Harp & Bowl Newsletter editor Danielle Fry adds, "I was instantly taken to a place of calm and peace. I have played this CD more than any other, while reading, contemplating or just talking with God,"
