The Falcons play original instrumental rock inspired by The Shadows and The Ventures. Formed in 1992, The Falcons have helped revive the instro rock genre worldwide. Based in Vancouver, Canada, The Falcons have recorded four original albums, toured in the Yukon and Europe, and showcased in Japan. Red Robinson, who wrote the liner notes for their holiday collection Canadian Christmas, notes, "In listening to The Falcons' Canadian Christmas, I was instantly transported back to a better place in my mind, a place where talent was important and music had soul." Steve Newton, a reviewer, adds, "The quartet gives 11 Christmas classics the twangy, reverb-laden Shadows treatment. Features a special guest, the Western Swing Hall of Famer and former Rhythm Pal Pat Gerow on steel guitar.
