Guitarist/composer Eric Wollman has released East Coast Shoes, a CD of ten original fusion compositions that bring to mind some of the earlier recordings of guitar master Allan Holdsworth. With interesting and unique chord inversions along with unorthodox rhythmic improvisational lines, Wollman advances a non-abrasive, yet aggressive, fusion sound, fueled by the rhythm section of bassist Gene Torres and drummer Pete Quintalino. Each player on East Coast Shoes is given the opportunity to stretch in a variety of styles including jazz, Latin, rock and bebop. East Coast Shoes will certainly thrill the fusion guitar fan as well as indulge the need for creative composition.
