Highwave To Hell

Andreas Bilstrup Finsen writes in the liner notes about Highwave To Hell, the El Ray compilation CD, "As song titles such as "Car Hire From Hell" and "Chainsaw Boogie" would suggest, this is a fast and frantic ride. But it's carried out with effortless ease characteristic of only the most accomplished of surfers. The furiously paced staccato rhythms are seamlessly strung together by fresh and sunny melodies. My final thought before total absorption into the collective self-forgetfulness of the crowd, is that the outlawed territory of Christiana is the perfect place for El Ray to serve their cocktail - a Copenhagen Cuckoo's Nest with California Coconuts." Featuring the guitar work of El Firetone and El Twang, the tracks are culled from five El Ray releases - enjoy!
