Smooth jazz guitar player Drew Davidsen has been entertaining jazz lovers for years with his big bold clean guitar tones and tasty licks. Once the lead guitar player of the Richard Walton Group, Drew is finally launching his solo career. Recording artist and session guitar player Mike Pachelli says about him, "Drew Davidsen's love for smooth jazz guitar shines through the influences of George Benson, Larry Carlton, and Les Sabler plus he draws heavily from rock standards and the 'feel good' school of the chitlin' circuit." This is his first solo jazz CD and I'm sure we can expect many more great recordings from this fine budding musician. His latest CD, This Journey... is a beautiful work of art featuring saxophonist Dave Krug and keyboard player Eric Washington. The melodies and grooves on this CD are sure to lift up your spirits and brighten your day. Featured tracks include sax rich "Take It To The MaXX", "Flip Side", the title track, new expressions of a couple spiritual standards, and a surprising version of Jimi Hendrix, "Little Wing."
