The long awaited, much anticipated solo CD by Doug Stillwell has finally arrived. Self produced under his new independent label Drop D Records, Stillwell's Souler Flare features sixteen new, all original songs, showcasing this seasoned guitar player's many talents, quality crafted songwriting, not mention fine examples of his melodic playing styles. Featuring nine instrumentals, and seven tracks with vocals, this debut solo CD is truly just that. All songs written, arranged and performed by Doug, with the exception of some additional keyboard parts by Brian Barth, and the song "Time Is Now", co-written with Tony Ho, feauring Tony on vocals. Both of these guest musicians are from Doug's former band Deja Voodoo. Souler Flare was recorded at Westwood Studios in Kailua, Hawaii.
