Semi Hollow Body

Semi Hollow Body consists of seven new tunes by guitarist Tim Jenkinsrecorded in the summer of 2003, and could be called Delirious Tremor's 'acoustic'release (even though Jenkins plays electric guitar most of the time),asthe instrumentation is simply guitar, drum kit, and acoustic bass.This represents a departure fromband'stwo previous releases,demonstratesTim's considerableabilitiesas a writer as well as a guitarist, and again showcases his almosttelepathicmusical connection withhis longtimecollaborator and close friendDavid Huether. This release is also the first to include bassist David Sheets, who has made a name for himself in the classical music world over the last 12 years as an orchestral and chamber musician. The trio is joined byBaltimore/Washington area trumpeter NickReider, who contributes some beautiful melodic playing on the CD's first track, "Open WideAnd Holding."
