Spelar Nilsson

Spelar Nilsson by De Gladas Kapell is one of the true landmarks of Swedish progressive rock fusion and this vinyl collectors item is now available for the first time on CD thanks to Lion Music. Recorded in just one day on May 13th, 1978 by four of the best musicians in Sweden at the time, Spelar Nilsson is a must have release for anyone with a passing interest in the history of progressive rock fusion. The musicianship displayed by guitarist Coste Apetrea, Stefan Nilsson, Peter Sundell and Georg Wadenius throughout the eight instrumental tracks still has the quality to dazzle the listener over 25 years from its original release. These musicians have since then become well known worldwide, and have played on hundreds of albums with well known acts, such as Simon and Garfunkel, Blood Sweat & Tears, Made in Sweden, Donald Fagen, Roberta Flack, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Samla Mammas Manna, Backstreet Boys, Jukka Tolonen, Janne Schaffer, Chess (Abba) and many, many more.
