Waves Of Expression features the acoustic and electric guitar music of Californian composer Dave Caulkins. The CD, inspired by Caulkins' love of the coast and the ocean, contains lush, tuneful landscapes, Latin-inflected improvisations and even a subtle jazz vibe on a few cuts. Caulkins is featured on electric bass and acoustic percussion as well as guitar, and the album also contains contributions by Joel Trenalone on keyboards, Bill Caddell on Latin percussion and Bill Bachlor on flute. As fun and breezy as a day at the beach, Waves Of Expression literally bounces with melodic guitar lines and discreetly orchestrated arrangements.
