Under A Watchful Eye features the hard-edged riffs and ultra-tasty solos from Australian guitarist Darren Wilson. What's remarkable about this EP-length CD is that it was written, recorded and performed entirely on a 4 track recorder. Wilson's slick guitar work demands attention on tracks such as the fiery, up-tempo title track, the smooth funk and legato improvisations of "Mystery" and the effortlessly fluid soloing of "Windows." Rife with guitar-based, rock-inspired songwriting, the six tracks on Under A Watchful Eye serves as a strong introduction to the musical vision of Darren Wilson.
