Dan McInerney's latest work, entitled Machinery, is an original effort featuring compositions by McInerney, a unique cover of the Beatles' "And Your Bird Can Sing", and an updated rendition of the 1968 Mason Williams classic, "Classical Gas". McInerney is a songwriter in the tradition of Larry Carlton and Jan Akkerman, and his playing showcases an aggressive and technical rock/fusion edge. His sophisticated approach and intellectual energy appeals to those who appreciate the ability to "step outside" the established realm of contemporary rock/fusion. Machinery also was Guitar Player magazine's winner in the rock category in their 30th anniversary guitar competition.
