Like Chris Korblein's first album, "Pacific Serenade", this second release entitled When You're Not Here combines his unique guitar performance with his trademark ingredients: memorable melodies and distinct tone. When You're Not Here is produced by Derek Nakamoto and the ten songs on this album feature Nakamoto's lyrical arrangements and range from NAC and New Age to World Pop. Guest artists include June Kuramoto of the Grammy nominated band Hiroshima, who plays the koto on a newly arranged version of the Hiroshima classic "Thousand Cranes". Young sax talent Terrace Martin contributes some of his signature lines on the esoteric "Pray For Rain", while last but not least, acclaimed singer/songwriter Robert Tepper joins Chris on the only vocal track on the album: "I Was Looking At You".
