Flirtin' With The Blues

Chaz DePaolo is a guitarist, composer, arranger and producer. "I play traditional style blues compositions with a rock feel," DePaolo states. "Flirtin' with the blues, if you will." As a concept for Flirtin' With The Blues, Chaz would draw from his deep knowledge and feel for the blues to form his vision. An instrumental tribute to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan called "Stevie's Favorite Shuffle" and "Chicago 101" are examples of this expressive interpretation of blues tradition. Adding new twists to the traditional song "Checkin' On My Baby", or the Fleetwood Mac/Peter Green classic "Long Grey Mare" are further expressions of the way Chaz DePaolo expresses his own way to 'feel the blues'.
