Bassist Carlos Soto's CD, Tribal Behavior, features intense progressive bass instrumental metal and progressive rock, with echoes of Billy Sheehan, Stuart Hamm and Les Claypool. Soto, bassist for the progressive-fusion trio Tribus, has over 15 years of bass playing experience. On Tribal Behavior, Carlos offers a wide mixture of sounds with a modern-technical approach to the electric bass. Reviewer Nick Martinelli has nothing but praise for the playing of Soto, "Soto's playing abilities are nothing short of phenomenal. I really got into his music, and it defiantly opened my ears to a new way of playing bass. Carlos really pushes musical barriers and goes farther out there than most of the bass players I had the chance to hear. Carlos Soto is top notch!"
