Mike Joyce, writer for Jazz Times and the Washington Post gushed over Carl Filipiak's 1990 fusion offering, "Blue Entrance is a jazz, blues and fusion spree... Filipiak knows guitar. He's fast, fluid and colorful, but he's more than just another guitarslinger." The CD features all universe drummer Dennis Chambers, as well as a number of other fine musicians. For a buffet of electrifying funk, blues and jazz, have a listen to the eight superb instrumentals comprising Blue Entrance - virtually guaranteed to turn you into a lifelong Filipiak fan.
