Fingerstylist Bill Mize's 2002 release is entitled Joyful Noise, and it features Mize on acoustic and electric guitar with appearances by Steve Conn on Hammond B-3, Richard Ostheimer on congas, and Beth Bramhall on accordion. "This is my most ambitious project yet and the first to be recorded at my own studio, Alien Mojo Productions in Pittman Center, Tennessee," comments Bill. A Vintage Guitar Magazine review remarked, "Man, talk about your great albums by folks you may not be familiar with! Bill Mize has done other nice work, but this disc is 10 songs of pure joy... If you're a fan of acoustic guitars and instrumentals that feature a guy who really knows the instrument well, you'll love this disc."
