Moodafaruka's second CD, entitled Zazu is global groove music with Spanish and Mediterranean influences, and features guitarist Rom Ryan and percussionist Terrence Karn. Instruments used include classical guitar, violin, bass and percussion such as doumbek and congas. A strong cast of additional musicians offer their talents on Zazu, including Chris Lington on rhythm guitar, Arlandus Chimney on bass, Javier Pagan on percussion, Mary Ann Willis on violin, Eden Sumer on violin and Kato on bass. The music on the eleven tracks on this largely instrumental release ("Drink With Umbrella" and the title track both feature a Karn vocal) will take you south of the border, to gypsy camps in Europe, and to the Arabian influenced south of Spain.
