letter usion just got an injection of adrenaline - his name is Greg Rapaport.

The new CD "Wyrd" is packed with some of the finest and widely diverse fusion/prog guitar playing to come out of 2002. Rapaport is a musical genius with jaw dropping technical abilities that are nothing short of mind-boggling. Some mind bending shred licks combined with Holdsworth type cord progressions can be heard throughout the CD. Greg has complete control over the guitar and showcases himself as a superior player by providing some fresh prospective on Jazz, Fusion and Prog influenced licks and structures.

All the compositions are written with uniqueness in mind. Rapaport is keen on keeping the listener on their toes with plenty of twists and turns. The CD kicks off with the mind numbing "11th Portal", blasting out an ultra heavy rhythm with some super fast arpegiated sequences that breathe fire. Other highlights include the way cool jazz-fusion extravaganza "Mahdah", a fusion lovers smorgasbord; and the hyper funk-groove-slamming-mindwarping "Diminished Returns".

This entire CD will slay the masses in progressive rock/metal, jazz-fusion circles, and power shredders worldwide. Rapaport delves into all styles on "Wyrd" and comes up with a masterpiece of originality.
