New Jersey guitarist Richard Robinson's CD is an entirely acoustic (and primarily solo) effort entitled Watercolors. The CD is all instrumental and features steel string acoustic guitar compositions inspired by various bodies of water and created by incorporating elements of blues, jazz, R&B and flamenco styles to form a sort of musical impressionism. Interestingly, each piece on the CD was created onsite at the location indicated in the song title ("Lake Erie", "Charleston", "Beach Haven", and so on). Robinson's songs offer a smorgasbord of impressions, including mysterious ambience, reflective seascapes, and atmospherically charged ebbs and flows, and the soothing music contains both textured musings and shimmering flourishes. Additionally, Robinson composed all the songs on Watercolors. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/New Age), total running time, 41:24
