Trance Lucid's second recording, Vigil, contains a wide spectrum of instrumental music pushing in new stylistic directions. A blend of chemistry and artistry, this CD offers a new set of sonic colors, and features more of a 'band' feel than their debut "Arise" (which was voted "#7 CD of 1996" by WBJB-FM of Lincroft, NJ). Guitarist Dave Halverson wrote the music for Vigil, which ensures the guitaristic focus, while new addition Bill Noertker's fretless bass stylings lend a definitive jazz flavor to the music, and have enhanced the Trance Lucid live experience.
