Victory Land
|
"Victory Land" is the first full-length release from producer/artist Taylor Mesple. It features many of the best studio musicians in the world including Abe Laboriel Jr., Tim Pierce (guitarist for Don Henley and Phil Collins) and Mel Brown, to name just a few. The musical and sonic sophistication of the record has garnered comparisons to the best 'studio bands' around like Steely Dan, Alan Parsons and Eric Johnson. Taylor's strong vocals are reminiscent of Sting, Richard Page, Eric Johnson and Brian McKnight. The record features the powerhouse "Just Begun", a tribute to Taylor's buddy Bruce Hornsby. Throughout this record, you will see displayed the rich soil in which these songs were cultivated- and the depth and passion of Taylor Mespie's craft.
