t's no wonder why greats such as Bill Frisell, David Sanborn and Lester Bowie have used Stew Cutler in their bands in the past. His playing is very loose and relaxed, yet structured and with purpose. It's also got that classic strat sound, that you love to hear in that smoke-filled, blues/jazzy nightclub where people seem to slow dance to tunes that you'd think you couldn't slow dance to. I think someday a movie producer is going to hear Stew play, and sign him on for doing movie soundtracks. I wouldn't be surprised if 10 years from now, Stew's name appears in the credits of more movies than Bill Clinton has excuses. A true pleasure to listen to.
