Jose Luis Encinas

"Travesura Chill"

The Story
Jose Luis Encinas is recognized as one of the top young flamenco guitarists in the world. "Travesura Chill" (also known simply as "Travesura") is his groundbreaking interpretation of the classic style, fusing his amazing guitar with unique sonic elements such as ambient, chill and new age, bringing flamenco into the 21st century. He has created a fresh sound for a new generation while maintaining the technique and skill of the masters he studied with. In Encinas' words, "There is plenty of great music out there that's considered 'commercial', and we are all quite heavily influenced by it," he says. "It's much more difficult to compose songs that appeal to everyone than it is to compose a complex, guitar piece that is understood by just the artist and a handful of people. It's much more challenging to compose music of an acceptable quality and which also has a widespread level of appeal." With its global appeal, Encinas' music truly conveys special meaning!
