Theodore Ziras

"Trained To Play"

The Story
Greece's Theodore Ziras' first instrumental solo CD is called "Trained To Play", and features a mix of orchestral neo-classical and power metal, with complex harmony/orchestration and mind-blowing lead guitar parts. A graduate of the Guitar Institute of London, Ziras is a talented guitarist who can blend influences such as Liszt and Bach with more modern axemen such as Vinnie Moore, Jason Becker, George Bellas and Shaun Baxter. Compositions such as "Dash" and "The Gush" display wickedly fast, clean playing and a steadfast devotion to the neo-classical style made famous by MacAlpine, Malmsteen, Becker and Tafolla. "Trained To Play" is an excellent introduction to this Greek musician, who continues to develop his performance and compositional skills.
