letter antel's musical taste has some range to it and so the various tracks (some vocal, some instrumental) represent a number of guitar styles, while all finding cohesion in Mantel's personal playing style. The tunes range from instrumental guitar rock, which had a surge of popularity in the 80s with artists such as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, to groovy fusion tunage to tasty blues rock. As with anything boasting this kind of range, some songs will work better for some listeners than others, but overall, the listening experience is a quite enjoyable one. I think I lean more toward the instrumental and blues/jazz fused songs, but most every track on here is a winner.
