Review of "The Time Has Come"

nce again I have to vent my frustrations as a writer as well as some of these musicians because, technically, we have something in common. He's a veteran musician, Im a veteran writer and both of us are lucky to be a speck on radar as far as any notority. Of course this all boils down to the simple love for music..one uses an instrument and the other an implement.
Lachlan has 20+ years under his belt as far as guitar goes and has mentioned influences of "Satch", Vai, Kotzen, Gambale, Beck, Morse and Hendrix. Some of his tastes also divert to stuff from the 60's and 70's like Steely Dan, The Beatles to current popular bands like Cold Play. The man has put himself through some immense studies with music theory and techniques to strengthen his skills as well as working in his own style.
"The Time Has Come" is 11 tracks of a guitar freak's wet dream with Metal, Blues, Prog-Rock, Funk, Fusion and Jazz. The main glue that hold this altogether is the aweome rhythms this guy comes up with. There's enough here to keep you busy for the duration of the 49 minutes; the music is diverse and fresh with no real repetition of riffs or chords constantly...you just won't hear the same things done over in another song from the one you just heard is where I'm getting at here. I'm very satisfied with this disc as well as Lachlan's level of talent. The time has come for you to check it out for yourself.
