Jeff Richman, one of the many guitarsts (Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed, T.J. Helmerich, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen, David Fiuczynski, Keith More) who contribute to The Loner: A Tribute To Jeff Beck, writes about Beck's influence, "I'm a professional guitarist because of Jeff Beck. At twelve years old, I would sit and listen daily in amazement to Jeff's guitar wizardry on the album "Have a rave up with the Yardbirds". A whole new feeling took over my body, I was drawn in like a magnet, it made me want be just like that!! In the afternoons I was always at the local record store, just listening and hanging out, trying to be as close as possible to the new, exciting music which was happening in the 60's. The anticipation of the next new Yardbirds single or album was always exciting. Jeff's first album "Truth" completely blew me away. I've been listening and cherishing his guitar playing ever since, and of course, seeing him many times live has been among my most memorable musical experiences! The song presented here
"Pygmy People", is played in the spirit of Jeff Beck's adventure and wild abandon." Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Fusion/Rock), total running time, 73:23
