Remember the first time you saw the girl/guy you knew was the one for you? This song starts with a sweet catchy upbeat melody (just like your heart feels when you first see that person). The verses are a little lead back (while you are planning your first approach). There is a build, a pause in the song, then a big guitar solo (the point when you dive in and make your move). You`ve made them yours!

Life gives you plenty of moments to think, reflect, learn, and grow, but only if you take the time to do so. This is a quiet thought reflective song that starts quiet, builds, goes back to quiet, builds, goes slightly over the top, then releases. It`s just like our own personal growth patterns, between remembering what we have forgotten and learning something new. If we don`t take the time to be aware of life`s moments, they won`t happen.

Remember that 1970s hit? Here, I took a fun trip back in time to update, spice up, and have a good time with this popular song.

Balance is often a hard goal to achieve in life - to indulge but not to overindulge. I took the liberty of stretching out some guitar chops in the solo section of this song, but I never let the song lose track of its purpose: melody.

This is the title track. The song really took the most effort to complete of the whole CD. I wanted to combine the sound of electronic percussion with the big sound of a lead guitar. Between the layers of electronic percussion, live drums, and layers of instrumental textures that take place, it demanded critical attention. "The Living Guitar" has changes in feel, texture, and time that will guide you on a journey - one worth taking. You have to try this song in headphones.

This track reflects when you`re in the groove and everything feels good. It`s a great song to cruise to. Live percussion kicks the medium tempo tune up a notch. Besides, when you`re in the groove, who needs shoes? (If pictures of you in them don`t mean anything, what`s the point in the first place?)

This is not a piece of music to take lightly; the content is the key for this song. Listen to the verse melody as it takes you in-and-out of the choruses, through the changes in the bridge. The lead guitar sits right in the middle and lets the song build around it. There is a very personal, person-to-person message in this piece. Put your words to it first; then I will share mine.

Sometimes you just have to let loose, get it all out, hold nothing back. Well, I took some of my Van Halen shuffle roots and let things fly here. Enjoy this one - it`s flashy, fun, and best played loud.

The melody still had something more to say. After a musical journey through the album, one final thought: reflection is necessary. Take the beautiful sound of a nylon-string guitar, the sound of a fretless bass, then take this one to heart. When you finish, you will hear two guitars ending in a duet - one in the left speaker, one in the right. Just the right ending for a perfect day.
