Review of "The Light Beyond"

his being the second release of this trio, shows some more of the same great formula the first effort ("Show Me What You Can Do") did. Inspired by the music of Mahavishnu Orchestra, the band sets to reenergize themselves by taking a glance backward to the heyday of jazz/rock fusion, and grasping the freedom and tenacity M.O. brought to the stage. Well these guys are more than competent musicians and their play on this idea is very complimentary indeed, stellar performances by all, so if you like high energy hard-edged fusion, you gotta add this to your library.
