his CD features Paul Loeffelholz on bass guitar, Brian Waters on keys and percussion. They lay down a retro-techno-dance blanket which Fraser riffs over the top of. Many of the songs have quirky feel with the guitar being mixed out on its own, into the foreground, and firing out quick spurts of melodies which quickly disappear and leave you once again with the droning drum/bass grooves far in the background.
Greigg has some nice melodic content to his solos and repeats the hooks many time within each song giving a calculated comfort zone to each number.
This music would be a nice compliment to an action adventure movie and during its highlights one can almost visualize a boat chase on Miami Vice, although, it also has some very sullen and soft passages as well. I can t help but think that the music was written for some type of adventure film or television program, but then released as stand alone expression.
This band has all the right elements for a great future in the commercial instrumental arena and we can't wait to hear their next offering!
