Progressive/Fusion
Super String Theory is a high energy, progressive, instrumental, rock-fusion band from the Sprinfield, Missouri area who have been playing together since the spring of 2002. Their Swimming In The Dutch Mordant CD is a collection of experimental songs that are influenced by progressive rock, jazz fusion, heavy metal, and various Latin styles. The disc is the first ambitious undertaking from a new band in the instrumental arena. The group, comprised of guitarist Aaron Roten, drummer Steve Mason, bassist Jerry Twyford and keyboardist Jimmy Pitts, has won over hundreds of people in the area at live events, opening for such acts as King's X, Eric Sardinas, Bobby Rock and Jeff Scheetz. The band has received many accolades for its musicianship, with each member reaching an incredible level of proficiency on their respective instrument. Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Progressive/Fusion), total running time, 64:48
In your opinion, which guitarist has a similar style or sound as Aaron Roten?
